Blyde Lasses
At:
Blyde Lasses are a dynamic young female duo who sing and play traditional Shetland music on fiddle and concertina. Their timeless renditions of age-old tunes have become popular across North-East Scotland and beyond in recent years. Highlight performances include a three week tour of New Zealand and Dubai in 2011, a 2010 Ireland tour, a trip to the 2008 North Atlantic Fiddle Convention in Canada, and headlining Partick Folk Festival's closing concert aboard the 'Glenlee' tall ship in 2009. Blyde Lasses regularly perform concerts in North-East Scotland, and in 2012 they plan to tour in mainland Britain, Germany, and Canada.
