One of Britain's best known songwriters, Charlie Dore's 2009 album "The Hula Valley Songbook" - a collection of American hillbilly, swing and popular favourites of the 1930's. These are songs originally recorded by artists such as Jimmie Rodgers, Milton Brown and Al Bowlly. Named after her first band, Hula Valley, the album features several guests, including Beth Nielsen Chapman, who duets with Charlie on the Rodgers classic, 'Roll Along Kentucky Moon'. The current live show features these songs with band members Julian Littman (guitar, mandolin, lapsteel) Steve Simpson (slide guitar, mandolin) and Dudley Phillips (double bass).
